Additional programs
-
Music
The Twos, Threes, and Pre-K classes attend weekly music classes. The children learn songs and rhythms and incorporate movement into this fun time.
-
Church
The classes attend a monthly Church Time in the Westminster Presbyterian Church sanctuary. Westminster Presbyterian Church Pastors and selected parishioners are the presenters. The program offers a child-oriented time to sing, pray, and hear Christian stories. Students learn a new bible verse each month.

Enrichment
Westminster Presbyterian Day School invites outside programs to the school to further help children develop an awareness of their surroundings and sharpen their observation skills. WPDS students build vocabularies through concrete experiences and observe how people live and work and how the community functions. Visitors to our school may include firefighters, storytellers, puppeteers, dancers, gymnasts, nutritionists, professional chefs, musicians, veterinarians, dentists, and the Austin Nature Center.
“As a two-parent working household, I was nervous about how we would manage the co-op aspect of Westminster and the requirement to help in the classroom four times a year. However, this is now one of our favorite parts of the school. I love the community at WPDS and the involvement of parents. Helping in the classroom is extremely special and a great way to see what is happening and get to know your children’s teachers and friends! We know we will not get this opportunity later in their school career, so we love being able to participate now!”
